![]() ![]() The Wii was a replacement Wii from Nintendo after I sent mine for repair but it came just before update 4.3 was out, and it listed it is on 4.2E. ![]() I tried formatting the SD card and trying again with no change in the outcome. This Wii is on 4.2E and no homebrew apps were installed prior to bootmii and HBC as I mentioned in the beginning. Is there an alternative procedure to install IOS236 or the other needed IOS for the CFG USB Loader? The guide mentios that this step is to make their installation of other IOS "easier" so what "harder" way is there? Alternatively, what could I be doing wrong? I followed the exact steps and they aren't exactly complicated at this point, and I previously had no problems with a different Wii. With that, I cannot install IOS236 (since it needs the patched IOS15) so I then cannot use the other IOS installers that allow CFG USB Loader 9and other apps like WiiMC) to function (since they need IOS236). I tried both off and online procedures for this. However, Trucha Bug Restorer, any version I tried (1.1-1.13), fails to complete the IOS15 downgrade with the error message saying "could not set revision to 0" (on step 1 after completing the download of the needed files). I have installed the Homebrew Channel and bootmii (not as boot2) and they seem to function fine (Homebrew Browser works), so I proceeded to this step in order to enable the use of the CFG USB Loader. ![]()
